Sale of Paterson's Brisbane Grove Sets New Price High

A stunningly renovated property at Paterson is believed to have raised the sale mark for homes on under 10 acres.

Cain Beckett, of Jurd’s Real Estate, has sold exclusive 1890s home Brisbane Grove at 51 Lomandra Circuit in Paterson for $1.16 million.

“The highest price on under 10 acres was $1.08 million and this was another $80,000 on top of that,” Mr Beckett said.

SPACE: The home has a dress circle driveway and is positioned on six “park-like” acres of land at Paterson.

“The property was stunning and we had huge interest.”

The three-bedroom house on six “park-like” acres was stripped, restored and renovated extensively in 2014.

“The finish in it was next level,” Mr Beckett said. “The owners had done a fantastic job and it was probably the most engaged I’ve had in a campaign for a long time, because it was so pretty.”

LUXURIOUS: It has expansive timber decks and an indoor-outdoor loggia/entertaining area and beautiful rural views.

The sale took three months, which he said was “reasonably quick for rural”, and the property was secured by an Avalon buyer searching for a tree change.

“We had a couple of hundred inquiries and again it was from Merewether, Bar Beach and North Shore; the same story,” Mr Beckett said. “Interest in these properties is almost exclusively from those locations.”

Through electric gates and clipped hedges, a Chanticleer pear-lined driveway leads to the residence.

The home has three generous bedrooms, three bathrooms and a luxurious indoor-outdoor entertaining room. A sandstone wood-burning fireplace in the main lounge was constructed of convict stone reclaimed from Tomago House. The master suite has a Romeo and Juliet spa bath with country views.
