2019 Hunter Valley Wine Festival breaks record with 4000 attendees
It was a record turnout for Hunter Valley Wine Festival, with more than 4000 attendees flocking to the annual event over the weekend.
Organiser Jenny Farrell said she “couldn’t be happier” with the record number of people visiting the festival held at Crowne Plaza on Saturday. “It is our seventh year and definitely our most successful yet,” she said.
“I would’ve been happy with 2500 people. I am sure that it will just keep getting bigger and bigger.”
The annual day-out showcases some of the region’s the best of wines, craft beer and local foods.
A range of activities was also on offer including entertainment from Jarrod Sherman and David D’Souza.
Ms Farrell added the festival marked a milestone with more than 70 wineries together under one roof.
“It’s all local and it’s just a fabulous day. We also had a lot of families and heaps for people to do,” she said.
The festival also included a number of fundraising activities which will be donated to the local Rural Fire Service.
