Singer Natalie Imbruglia forks out $1.3M for Beach House in Byron Bay
She’s been living in England for over two decades, and was even granted British citizenship in 2013.
But it looks like Natalie Imbruglia still calls Australia home, with Domain reporting that the singer-songwriter just dropped a cool $1.3 million on a three-bedroom home on a two hectare property in Byron Bay’s Coorabell hinterland.
The picturesque home boasts stunning ocean views and is surrounded by lush vegetation.
The publication claims the 41-year-old star, who currently lives in London’s Notting Hill area, will most likely remove the current home from the land and build something new.
Natalie has been toying with the idea of returning home to Australia for several years.
In 2014, she told Sunday Style that she was planning to buy a home Down Under the following year.
‘It’s time for a veggie garden! I’ve never had my own place here, so it’s a new beginning,’ said the Torn songstress.
Talking about the things she misses from Australia whilst living in London, she added: ’Mum still sends me Tim Tams and Twisties.’
Imbruglia isn’t the only Aussie celebrity to set up digs around Byron Bay.
Actor Chris Hemsworth lives in a $7 million dollar home in Broken Head with wife, Elsa Pataky, and their three children.
Simon Baker and wife Rebecca Rigg also have a stunning home in the hinterland which they purchased for $1.5 million in 2009, according to Domain.
And more recently, actress Isabel Lucas spent $857,500 on a treehouse close to the surf.
